Upcoming Religious Education Classes

Religious formation classes for children in grades 1-8 are Mondays, from 6-7:30 PM. Religious Education Registration Forms are mailed home to the last year’s participating families.  Forms are available for pick-up at both church entrances the month before classes begin.  We welcome our existing families back and welcome all new families or those first time first-graders.

High School Confirmation students, who attended the one-year session the year before, will still need to fill out registration forms so that we have your information on file (AOD rules).  There is no charge for the ninth grade session.

Pre-school age children, ages 3-5, and those attending kindergarten, are welcome to attend the pre-school programs offered during the 9:30 and 11 AM Masses. Children are gathered before Mass begins after 9:20 and 10:50AM for the respective Masses.  Either session may be attended and lessons are based on the Sunday Gospel.  Registration is required.

LWC children are in grades 1-6.  Mature kindergarteners are also welcome.  These children are seated at 11 AM Mass with their families.  They are called forward to attend the program before the First Reading begins.  They are led to classrooms 5 and 6 for a children’s reading and discussion of the Gospel.  They return to the pews of their families before the Offertory portion of Mass is completed.  No registration is necessary for this program.  There is no charge for pre-school or LWC.

Men's Fellowship

Here is a question using next week’s  readings( (10/14/18)

Here are some thoughts starters using next week’s (10/21/18) readings. In the Gospel (Mk 10:35-45) we read “… whoever wishes to be great among you will be your servant; whoever wishes to be first among you will be the slave of all.”  In what ways do you relate to your family and to others as a servant leader; in what other ways, maybe not so much?

As always, you are invited to come and share in the discussion at our meeting on Saturday mornings from 7:30 – 9:00 at Christ, Our Light! Please contact the parish office to get information on the Men’s Fellowship.
