social followed. On May 18th, we had our Catechist Appreciation dinner for both
Religious Education formats on Mondays and Saturdays. Pam LaGrassa arranged
for a speaker on Classroom Management Tips for Catechists, Sharon Smith. This
presentation was enjoyed by all who attended. About 35 gathered that evening.
On May 23, there was a meeting for HS Confirmation parents. The summer
and fall program was laid out and a tentative schedule distributed. A “Called to
Serve” workshop will be held at Christ, Our Light! for our high school Confirmation

meet their needs. New names are added as new parishioners are added to the

C. Vicariate Report
§ Repeat item…The Vicariate Website is something that Christ, Our Light!
parishioners should be aware of. We can publicize our events there as well as see
what other parishes are doing. http://www.aod.org/parishes/pastoral-planning/parishplans/
south-oakland/is the web address.
1. Finance Report- Father reported… CSA has started. We are slowly getting more
participation. The AOD film about CSA was positively received. Father doesn’t stress
about it the amount of our preset goal. He explained at the masses about the old ADF
and now our CSA. People learned CSA is an attempt to make parish goals more
equitable. We will get what we can from the congregation and make up the difference, as
we have done in the past.
1. New Business- 1.Nothing pressing for summer, ongoing projects will continue through the
summer. 2. It is the last meeting for this year. 3. The parish picnic will happen the
Sunday after Labor Day. It is accomplished with many volunteers from each of the parish
groups taking on a responsibility. Father orchestrates it.
2. Closing prayer by Father Don
VII. Meeting adjourned at 7:37.
